At long last I've manage to win the much sought after book 'How to Make Aprons' by Roxa Wright...
I've lost a couple in past auctions as they've always gone for a really high price (this one no exception), but I decided I was going to win this one no matter what since aprons are a rather big part of my life. It was published in 1953 and contains fifty apron patterns and ten pot holder patterns all on mini grids which you can enlarge up. They may even be good as is for making doll aprons. The patterns include Mother and Daughter Pinafores, Cobbler Apron, Picker's Apron, Handkerchief Tea Apron, Gardening Apron to name but a few. I probably won't actually grid many up but it's worth it's weight in gold for the inspiration.
A must have book for any apron lover!

oooh I'm jealous!

You do not have to do anything to return the honor. You can place this award on your blog if you want to by right clicking on the picture of the award and saving it to a file on your computer like you do other photos. You can pass it on to others if you like but it's never expected. I added a link for each person I gave the award to. I wanted my readers to check out your clothing designs with this link to your blog. I knew they'd love them as much as I do. I just didn't want you to think I sent you to my blog to check out my painting.

This looks like a great book. Aprons are making quite the come back. My husband's 97 year old grandmother just gave me a box of old apron patterns and when I got to the bottom of the box there were three beautiful aprons that she had made!
