I love the simplicity and purity of bendy dolls, especially when they celebrate the earth and seasons.
Do you know Salley Mavor from Wee Folk Studio? Her work is exquisite and she is truly inspirational.
Bendy dolls are so rewarding to make, so in honour of their purity I developed the PIXIKINS....
Little free spirited elves that live where their hearts are most needed...
There are so many possibilities to the Pixikins and their tutorials and instructions are a great starting to a young creative, developing mind...
Please click on the side links and be swept away to more Pixikin paradise!!

Sebastian likes noting better than a lazy Summer's day where he can sit and ponder poetry.
I couldn't bare to part with him but you can make him too, using a blend off the 'Mouse pattern', mixed with the 'bear head needle felting tutorial', available in my second Etsy shop.
Enjoy creating!

Hello there,
I'm going to take a little step back in time now...Do you remember these?
The 'Flower Pickin' Pinny'...
and the Kitty Pinafore?...
Well, almost on a DAILY BASIS, I'm kindly asked if I would start making them again or at least sell the pattern. Making them at this moment would be a little tricky since my beloved sewing machine is out of reach HOWEVER.... could I make them into instant PDF pattern downloads? WHAT DO YOU THINK?
It has been playing on my mind for a long time now and since I've got the new
Verity hope dolls pattern out...
then I'm thinking to give the dress patterns ago too.
So, it's a very rainy, wet afternoon and perhaps the perfect day to start work on them.
I've not done a full size clothing pattern as a PDF before so it will take some working out.
Has anyone had a go at making clothing PDFs before?
I would love to hear your experiences?
In the meantime, here is another portrait of my favourite Verity Hope girls... and their BLOG:

HAPPY SEWING!

VERITY HOPE DOLLS are fun and EASY TO MAKE and measure about 7 inches tall (18 cm).
You get to make the doll, ALL the outfits shown in the photos, a little rustic basket and pretty posy of flowers.
MIX and MATCH the clothing patterns to make different characters (three variations shown).
PDF PATTERN NOW AVAILABLE ON ETSY
Florence bunny simply loves to bake, just look at her delicious buns she's just pulled out of the oven!!
I expect they taste scrummy!
I made Avril using 'Cressida Cat' Pixikin pattern mixed with the bunny needle felting head tutorial. If you fancy learning to make your own version of florence, have a look at the patterns and you'll see how I've mixed and matched them.
Happy Creating!

HAPPY SUNDAY!!!
This noble teddy bear family has been sewn and needle felted.
I imagine them sitting in front of a warm log fire in their country Estate in England.
Perhaps Papa smokes the odd pipe whilst Mama bear and their little ones enjoy some toasted crumpets on sticks.
I have one available as ready made in the Etsy shop.
